  • Also sometimes called chronic or persistent pain. Conditions include:

    • Persistent back pain

    • Persistent neck pain

    • Fibromyalgia

    • Arthritis & joint pain

  • Our Physiotherapists can help you plan your training to best prepare you for an upcoming event and decrease your risk of injury.

  • Our Physiotherapists LOVE helping you to get moving. With access to our upstairs studio, and downstairs gym, we have lots of options to find the perfect starting point for YOU.

  • Utilising the Strength by Numbers AxIT System our Physiotherapists can provide a comprehensive screening and assessment. This data can be used to assess injury risk, plan training to address those risks, and improve performance.

Physiotherapy Initial Session

Please book if…

  • You have pain that you are unsure how to manage

  • You have a new injury and would like advice on what to do next

  • You are living with a neurological condition and would like support improving and maintaining function

  • You have been referred to Physiotherapy by your GP and have a care plan (gap payments apply)

  • You are keen to join our Small Group Training sessions and would like to claim as Group Physiotherapy

  • You would like support with an exercise program that takes into account any conditions or injuries you are managing

  • You would like to discuss a plan to minimise your risk of injury and/or improve your performance.

Your Initial Physio Session will include…

  • A long chat and lots of questions - we want to get to know the whole you, because we know you are more than your injury or “broken bits”

  • We’ll ask you questions about

    • the things that you enjoy and love to do

    • what has been helpful (and not so helpful) in the past

    • what you would like to be working towards

    • what is stopping from getting there right now?

  • We’ll look at your movement, and look for things that are working well for you, as well as things that we can work on to help you move towards your goals

  • We may assess in more detail any body parts that are of concern

  • Together we can choose a plan moving forward that best suits YOUR needs.

Follow-up Physio Services

Short Session

This session with 25 minutes of contact time is for you if you:

  • Have already had your Initial Session

  • Are clear on your management plan

  • Want to check-in on your progress and have support moving forward

  • Have an acute or sub-acute injury without any underlying chronic or ongoing issues.

Medium Session

This session with 40 minutes of contact time is for you if you:

  • Have already had your Initial Session

  • Would like to explore one or more concepts

  • Would like a combination of movement, talking and hands-on therapies.

  • Would like an extended movement based session in either the studio or the gym.

  • Have a new injury or issue and would like to co-create a plan to address this

Long session

This session with 50 minutes of contact time is for you if you:

  • Have already had your Initial Session

  • Are having your second private session to join Small Group Training

  • Would like to explore multiple concepts including movement, grounding and cognitive strategies.

  • Have a significant mental health or trauma history

Non-contact time is time spent on your care separate from your face-to-face time with your Physiotherapist. In this dedicated non-contact time your Physiotherapist will complete tasks related to your care such as:

  • contacting any other relevant members of your healthcare team or new referrals

  • emailing an optional summary of your session

  • complying with medico-legal documentation requirements

 FAQs

  • Absolutely. If you would like to check with your fund your level of cover the codes that our Physiotherapy sessions fall under are:

    500 -Initial Session

    505 - Short Session or Medium sessions

    506 - Long session

  • We do accept care plan referrals, however please note that we charge a gap fee. The current medicare rebate for a care plan session is $58.30. If booking with a care plan please bring your referral with you and be prepared to pay fee for each session.

  • Our upstairs studio space is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible. We are fortunate however to have access to the gym space downstairs, which also has a wheelchair accessible bathroom. If you are comfortable having your session in the open gym space we would love to support you.

  • Yes we accept NDIS clients. We are not currently registered providers with NDIS however do accept self-managed NDIS plans.

  • Sorry we do not currently accept workcover or DVA clients. We can recommend our friend Shane at Bibra Lake Physio for these services.

  • Parking is hot property at the clinic! There are bays directly in front of the door, however these are often full at peak times. If you require the ACROD parking bay please let us know ahead of time so we can ensure it is free for you. Otherwise please park in the neighbouring streets and follow the general road rules. Please do not park in our neighbours car bays.

  • 100% we do! All of our Physiotherapy services are available as online sessions. When booking online please indicate in the ‘notes’ section that you would like it to be an online session. All confirmation emails have a Telehealth link that you can use at the time of the session to open a secure online portal.
